Green is the New Chic.
Have you ever walked into a “sustainable” space only to eat hot food off cornstarch utensils that disintegrate as you use them? Just because a product or space is ecologically friendly doesn’t mean it has to look recycled. The myth about green and sustainable design is that it looks that way. However, some designers are doing great things that don’t have that stereotypical green aesthetic. We are here to spread the word about products and projects that are green but don’t necessarily look like yesterday’s recycled reeds. A piece of furniture does not have to be a reclaimed tree stump to be green. In fact, most good green design is seamless in how it integrates into our lives. So, turn to us for the chic-est of the chic in green design. We are committed to staying true to our fashionista selves while respecting the world around us.
Why Do Green Interior Design?
Conservative estimates say that people spend 90% of their time indoors; that is 21.6 hours indoors and 2.4 hours outdoors a day. Some even estimate that the average American adult spends only between 4 and 17 minutes outside in a single day. What you breathe, see, and feel inside becomes crucial when you look at how much time we spend indoors.
